Not to be confused with the self-stick strip falsies or individual clusters of lashes knotted together that are a single-event accessory, these semi-permanent extensions are glued one by one onto the natural lash. A single eyelash extension or fan is applied to your own natural eyelash to achieve a beautiful full, long set of lashes that are light weight and can be natural or dramatic.

Absolutely, we cannot stress the importance of choosing an eyelash technician who has been trained by a qualified company with certification. There are many eyelash extension technicians who are claiming to have been professionally trained but actually have been self taught via the internet. At I Candy Lash & Brow Boutique,LLC., we are seeing more and more distressed ladies contacting us to repair their lashes. Please do your research thoroughly and ask many questions. In the state of Nevada you must be a licensed Cosmetologist or Esthetician to perform lash extensions. Be sure your technician is certified by a lash extension company as well and working inside a reputable salon, not a residence.

You don’t have to be a celebrity or model to wear eyelash extensions. Normal everyday ladies love eyelash extensions and can’t bear to be without them.

A single natural eyelash is isolated with lash tweezers and an extension is adhered to your own natural eyelash approximately 1mm from the eyelid so neither the adhesive or the lash has contact with the skin.

The procedure will take approximately 2-3 hours for a full set and fills approximately 1 hour. It is a meticulous procedure that requires patience and concentration so therefore it should not be rushed so that clients can leave with a perfect set of lashes. You relax with your eyes closed and there is no pain as this is a non-invasive procedure. Often clients are so relaxed they fall asleep

At I Candy Lash Boutique it is important that our clients are comfortable therefore, we use soft under eye pads specifically designed for eyelash extensions

Yes. All makeup is fine except mascara. You may wear eyelash extension safe eyeliner and eyeshadow as usual, but remember to remove makeup with an oil free product. If you wear mascara on the extensions it will break down the bond of the glue and they may shed prematurely.

The natural lash has a growth cycle and unfortunately it is hard to determine which lash is ready to fall out. Each day we can lose 3-5 natural lashes, but often they fall out unnoticed. When eyelash extensions are applied we are more aware when they shed because they are longer, darker and thicker. If you sleep on your stomach with your face on the pillow or on your side you may notice the lashes may not last as well as the other side.

Fills are to replace extensions that have fallen out due to the natural shedding of the eyelash. You will require fills every 2 or 3 weeks to achieve a consistently full fresh set of lashes. We take the time to remove grown out extensions, clean and prime your lashes before we begin.

Do not use a steam room or sauna for the first 48 hours to allow glue to cure

Be gentle with your new lashes. Avoid rubbing your eyes and do not pick or play with your lashes

Resist the temptation to touch or pull at your new lashes as this will pull out your own natural lashes

When drying your face do not rub instead blot your face and apply a gently pressure to your closed eyes then allow the extensions to dry naturally. Do not use a hair dryer.

Do not perm or curl the extensions using a clamp eyelash curlers
Avoid wearing mascara as this will lessen the life of your extensions

Do not use eye make-up remover that contains any type of oil products such as petroleum

Do keep the eye area clean. This is very important. Some ladies love their lashes so much they don’t even want to get them wet at all. Avoiding proper hygiene can result in an eye infection whether wearing eyelash extensions or not and may cause blepharitis

Try and sleep on your back to avoid crushing your extensions in the pillow and use a silk pillowcase.

**The golden rule for wearing eyelash extensions is the less you touch them the longer they will last. However, it is important to keep the eye area clean.

Microblading also known as microstroking, micropigmentation, eyebrow embroidery, eyebrow feathering, and 3D eyebrows is a semi-permanent tattoo that is created by using a manual tool with numerous fine needles to create hair like strokes throughout the brow. The strokes are then maskedover with a pigment. This technique does not go as deep into the skins layers as a normal tattoo and is therefore considered semi- permanent. If you have blonde, sparse or traumatized (over tweezed) brows, this microblading technique is for you.  This treatment is a two part process.

Cosmetic tattoo results vary from person to person, as a general guide, it usually lasts up to 12 months or longer before requiring a color boost. After your initial session, a touch-up is required 10-12 weeks later to address any areas that faded or to add a few strokes.  The duration depends on your skin type, lifestyle and exposure to certain elements, which can cause the ink to fade faster than others. Clients with oily skin, increased sun exposure, hormone imbalances, use of Retin A, frequent skin treatments containing AHA’s and some medications will cause the area to fade faster, and in some cases prevent the hair strokes from staying at all. This will be determined at your Microblading consultation. Some guests may need a small touch-up sooner due to the above.

Slightly, depending on the individual’s pain tolerance. Anaesthetics are used to numb the treatment area throughout the procedure to keep you comfortable. Slight discomfort may be experienced at the beginning of the treatment, but then is mostly painless throughout the rest of the treatment. Before your appointment (please read thoroughly through Pre Care instructions) â€“ it is important to avoid smoking, caffeine, alcohol/aspirin/fish oil capsules, as these will thin the blood and effect the numbing cream.  Not following pre care instructions may result in a canceled appointment.  All deposits are non-refundable.

Immediately after Microblading the color may darker than when the skin has healed in 7 to 14 day’s time. The color will lighten up to 40%. The size of the treated area will shrink by approximately 15% and your new brows will look much more natural in appearance over the next 4 weeks with softer appearance.

Bring along the makeup you apply and any photos of the look that you want to achieve.  â€¢ Make sure your health is in good condition, a medical history form will need to be completed.  â€¢ 72 hours prior to your appointment DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL or CAFFEINE• 1 week prior to your appointment, DO NOT take blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, B6, Omega 3, Gingko Biloba, St. Johns Wort, evening Primrose unless medically necessary – you may resume immediately after the procedure. â€¢ Avoid booking during your menstrual cycle as it can increase pain sensitivity. â€¢ No waxing, tanning or tinting 3 days before your appointment. â€¢ No anti-aging treatments such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser, facials 2 weeks before your appointment. â€¢ No facial injections 1 month prior to procedure. â€¢ On the day of your appointment avoid caffeine & exercise.
